Iran movie ‘Helmsman’ being screened at Kolkata filmfest

The Kolkata International Children’s Film Festival in India has been set to screen Iranian film ‘Helmsman’.

Directed by Majid Esmaeli-Parsa, the movie is being screened at the 7th edition of the event.

The 85-minute movie is about Hassan, a boy who is trying to revive his father’s ship as a present for the man’s birthday.

Mehdi Mohajeri, Majid Deris, Yousef Khodaparast, Yousef Bakhtiari and Hamideh Moqaddaszadeh star in the movie.

The movie has attended more than 20 domestic and international film festivals.

Founded in 2011, the Kolkata International Children’s Film Festival is an annual event which is held in the west Bengal state of Kolkata in India. The festival screens more than 200 films from 32 countries where thousands of children get there to see their favorite films and characters.

The festival has been slated for January 19-27, 2018.
